The most amazing thing about Chambers is her absolute chutzpah (Happy New Years!) in bringing up this attack. It seems that Vernon was running against County Commission Ken Davis in the Democratic runoff - the same Ken Davis who had delivered a crushing 79-21 electoral defeat against Jill Chambers four years earlier. Chambers got even with Davis by throwing the Republican Party's support behind Jones.
